EX COP SLAPPED WITH A FIVE YEAR SENTENCE FOR FRAUD

A former crime intelligence Warrant Officer Tshepo Matthews Sephapho 48, attached to Parkroad SAPS was sentenced to five years imprisonment for fraud, forgery, and uttering.

The sentence was issued by the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Wednesday 18.

Sephapho was arrested in Botshabelo on 28 July 2024 by Serious Corruption Investigation detectives of the Hawks.

In 2022, Sephapho forged signatures of his superiors in order to withdraw R134 000 from the Secret Services Account (SSA).

A warrant for his arrest had been issued and executed following a Hawks investigation.
