EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES EXPECTED OVER PARTS OF THE FREE STATE

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) in Bloemfontein has issued weather report warning about the first frost of the season expected to hit the Central and Southern parts of the province and along the Lesotho border from Saturday 03.

Municipalities that will be affected by the frost are Kopanong , Mangaung Metro, Mantsopa, Masilonyana, Mohokare, and Setsoto Local Municipality.

SAWS says temperatures are likely to drop slightly below zero degrees.

Members of the public are advised to keep warm and avoid exposure to prolonged cold conditions.

Farmers are advised to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety and health of their animals, as well as crops.
