Free State Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae fulfilled her commitment to the residents of Caleb Motshabi by unleashing the Integrated Government Services initiative in the area, on Monday 2.

This new community, characterized by high levels of poverty and unemployment, received a crucial boost with this coordinated services provision.

During her visit on 29 August 2024, Premier Letsoha-Mathae, accompanied by Members of the Executive Council, committed to enhance service accessibility for residents who struggle financially to travel to distant facilities for essential services such as healthcare, home affairs, and social development.

By employing the District Development Model aimed at consolidating and collaborating the work and efforts of different spheres of government, with, the Premier through the invaluable work of the Thusong Service Centres has significantly expanded government services to reach the thousands living in Motshabi and neighboring areas.

This initiative alleviates the financial burden of travel and the need for multiple document copies, making it easier for residents to access crucial services locally.

The outreach in Caleb Motshabi emphasises the significant impact of Thusong Service Centres across the province’s five districts.

Maintaining these centres at peak operational levels is vital for ensuring comprehensive service delivery across all communities.

To further support the community, the Premier has assigned several MECs, including MEC for Cogta and Human Settlements Saki Mokoena, with the task of expediting infrastructure development in the area.
