On 20 October 2020, the team kept observation, noticed a suspicious vehicle leaving the premises, and gave chase.
Upon searching, cash was discovered hidden inside a sound system compartment.
This led officers back to the house where more cash and drugs were found.
Over R1 million worth of mandrax tablets and R270 000 in cash was recovered.
Acting Free State Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), Brigadier Paulus Mbongo welcomed the sentencing and praised officers for working hard to stop the supply of drugs.
