The African National Congress (ANC) in Mangaung has welcomed the recent arrests of all the suspects caught on camera committing acts of criminality against the people of Bloemfontein.

The reported act and related footage as seen on various social media platforms took place in the CBD of Bloemfontein this week.

The hideous acts as seen on the video footage has sent shockwaves across the length and breadth of Mangaung, as these brazen act has once more brought to the fore the urgency to repurpose and restore the full life of the organs of people’s power.

The organs of the people’s power have historically been platforms from which the society aspirations such as peace, justice and the ultimate realisation of Ubuntu would be realised.

These organs of people’s power have always fought against any kind of injustice including acts of criminality perpetuated against the ordinary people.

The ANC deemed violent and brutal scenes as witnessed in the video footage, a shameful reflection in our social mirror that we have in our midst criminals who have no regard for peace and harmony for our people.

The ANC in Mangaung calls for a united front of our people to stand together in calling out such dastardly acts.

Furthermore, a common call should be advanced for the police to be in the frontline along with the organs of people’s power, such as the CPF and other crime fighting stakeholders in keeping safe the peace loving people of Mangaung.

"As ANC Mangaung, we expect the law to take its course for justice to prevail by ensuring a successful conviction against these criminals. The successful conviction will send a strong message that mangaung is not criminal den, and this must further serve as a deterrent to many others who would seek to repeat such hideous acts", note the party.

The leadership of the ANC in Mangaung will be in contact with the police as part of efforts to further contribute to initiatives to ensure organs of people’s power are equal to the task.
