MOHAI URGES VOTERS TO VOTE ANC AT RALLY

The The African National Congress (ANC) held their sub-regional electional Siyanqoba rally at Zastron, Matlakeng Stadium on Saturday, 11.

The keynote speaker on the day was Seiso Mohai, a member of the provincial executive committee addressed a packed Matlakeng Stadium with ANC supporters from the Xhariep district.

Zastron is a small town situated in the Southern Eastern region of the Free State, under the sterling leadership of Mohokare Municipality mayor Zingisa Mgauli.

Mohai noted that Zastron is a town with a rich history, which produced leaders that played a significant role in liberating black people during the struggle.

He reiterated that President Ramaphosa acknowledged the mistakes of the ruling party, in terms of services not being able to reach certain people at some parts of the country.

"President Ramaphosa said that we acknowledge and accept our mistakes as the ruling party, there are places were services are not reaching the people. We stand before you acknowledging our mistakes and aiming to rectify them. The party has booted those who are corrupt and expelled those who have no intention of serving the people of South Africa", said Mohai.

The party leader outlined the manifesto and reiterate the importance of job creation, especially to the youth who have lost hope due to the high number of unemployed.

He also added that roads will be maintained in small towns to allow smooth movement especially during the rainy season.

Mohai said that Motheo satellite College which is situated at Zastron will have to be transformed into a full TVET college to attract more students in the district to come and study artisan skills, they will also impact the towns economy positively.

He also noted that students deriving outside Zastron will have to be protected by being at safe accommodation free from crime.

"The ANC is a people's party and it will continue to work for the people of South Africa to better their lives, we will work tirelessly to achieve that goal. I encourage our people to go and vote for the ANC come May 29", said Mohai.

The event was graced by several members from the Free State ANC branches, veterans and the women's league.

The stadium was packed with community members that came out in numbers to support their party.


The guests were entertained with performances from artists deriving from national and local, featuring the hyped Ntate Stunna and former Skeem Saam actor Cornet Mamabolo in the midst.
