A young model and Miss Heritage South Africa contestant Mpho Mafoso 19, hailing from the dusty streets of Zastron, to give a lime light to children aged 4-16 years by hosting the first ever modelling babies show at Zastron.
The trials for the show will commence on Saturday 08, with the crowning being on June 28.
The young model reiterated that she registered for the competition to motivate her peers in taking pride and preserving their culture and tradition.
"I entered for the competition because i realized that my peers don't take pride in their culture and tradition. The teachings of our forefathers are perishing therefore i want to take the first initiative that will motivate my peers and the rest of the community to be proud of their culture and traditions on a daily basis and not only embrace it on heritage day," said Mafoso.
The idea behind the babies show and photo shoot is to raise funds for a sponsorship fee but it also provides a platform to interact and engage with children by exposing them to modeling at a tender age.

Mafoso believes that the initiative will benefit the community by assisting in taking young children off the streets and giving them something to channel their attention on, with the hope that some will develop love and passion for modelling.
"Drugs and crime have harboured Zastron and with this initiative I'm trying to give our community something positive. The only way for our children to benefit will only be if they come and grace the event with their presence. I hope parents will allow their kids to be a part of what will be a life changing experience for most since we will be teaching them also the importance of embracing and preserving our culture and tradition" said ecstatic Mafoso.
She also noted the initiative will be a great opportunity that will help connect with children and be able to groom and nurture them at a very tender age.
