New album “Searching For Gold” sparking social media buzz

Tshepo Marvin Tau 29, new album ‘Searching for Gold’ has sparked social mediabuzz as music fanatics gives positive remarks.
Tau known by his stage name (T.t Marvin), is originally from a small town in the Northern Cape, Pampierstad/ Paper City, were his inspiration and love for music developed.
Tau reiterated that growing up he used to listen to his mother’s cassette tapes and the CD’s his sisters would bring for him during school holidays.
“I used to write lyrics of my favorite songs on my note pad which I believe played a significant role in igniting the author I am today. I enjoyed song writing until I went to high school in Bloemfontein where I developed love for making beats, and I have been producing beats since”, said Tau.
The first project that Tau worked on was a solo mix-tape called “Broke but not Broken”, which he released in 2022.
Last year together with his brother and close friend they established a record label called the Birds Eye View, which offers services to independent artists and allows them to craft their authentic projects.
The muso noted that he gets his inspiration from different artists in the hip hop genre, with Kendrick Lamar and famous producer Hit-Boy making the top list.
“It’s amazing to work on something and end up getting positive feedback from the people. It shows that we are doing something positive and their reaction should serve as motivation to seek to reach greater heights. Our record label seeks to create a platform that will give local artists an opportunity for them to develop and grow within the music industry in the province”, said Tau.
He added, “The story behind ‘Searching For Gold’, is about self analysis and how the consequences of rhetorical situation can leave one astray and lacking self-determination”.
The title of the album seeks to illuminate and educate young people for them to search within themselves and find greatness when hope seems lost.
Tau said that he uses music to interact and connect with people and urged young people to find their purpose and prevail once they discover it.
